This thread answered alot of my questions thumb.gif

A receiver is a solid choice if you've got the room for one, and Yamaha makes some very excellent receivers. I'm running 6 B652's off my Yamaha RX467 right now, and they do beautifully.

Other than the last few post, would anyone else agree that this thread deserves a sticky for people that are just "entering" the audiophile world?

Am about ready to order this 2.1 set up but am a bit confused as to how am suppose to connect the sub to the amp since the mini amp doesn't have a sub output.

Dayton Audio B652 Bookshelf Speaker Pair

Lepai Tripath TA2020 Class-T Hi-Fi Audio Amp
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=310-300&scqty=1
Dayton Audio SUB-1200 12" 120 Watt Powered Subwoofer
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=300-629&scqty=1
2x Belkin PureAV Blue Series Speaker Wire 18 AWG 25 ft. Clear

Am guessing i'll have to connect the speaker wire from the amp to the Sub's speaker input, then from the Sub speaker output to the speakers?

The amp will be connected to my sound card via 3.5mm to RCA cable

You guessed correctly. So make sure you buy enough speaker wire. 18 awg will work, but if you can get 16 awg that will be more of a failsafe (its usually not much more for 16 awg).
