Yes to an extent, but in some cases its not worth over paying for something of less quality when you could save a little more and buy something of much higher quality.

Exactly. If you avoid mainstream brands and their plastic 5.1 setups you can get REAL speakers for LESS.

I've been using the m10's for ~3 years now. Love them.

Great for music, just enough bass (at the normal setting, turned way up) to make movies and games enjoyable.

I just got my Promedias and I'm pretty blown away. they are built to last and pack some great sound. I listen to everything except country and have them hooked up to a dedicated sound card as well. simply amazing

and the quality while watching movies makes me feel like in at the theater. the bass WILL be enough

Im not sure about that I'm a bass fanatic not like getto bass where it over powers the mids and highs but well blended gut shaking bass that sounds great with strong mids and highs but I know for my price range it will be near impossible to achieve so I've kind of given up right now .thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Get the Dayton B652 bookshelf speakers, you will thank yourself later!
You can grab a lepai amp from like $20.
Then you can pair it with a sub whenever you want.

Or you could get this speaker/amp combo for $58.00 and pickup a sub of your choice.
