Haswell. New Architecture always better than a die shrink.

i'm thinking of going solid state, but honestly i don't think my computer is so slow to start up i should drop ~$180 on something that would save me 15 seconds a startup.
it's scary that i've begun to think this way.
i need jeremy clarkson here to yell "MOAR POWAA" at me.

Me, I'm still on LGA 1156 so buying LGA 1155 right now when there's less than a year left on it is silly. So I'm waiting for LGA 1150 - Haswell. Thunderbolt will be included with Haswell and I expect that to shake up the industry quite a bit like USB 3 which we are still slowly adopting.

Thunderbolt will be included with Ivy Bridge Intel chipsets I thought...

yes there is , software can't keep up with hardware most of the time, why rush or blow you money if you don't have too

I'm pretty sure my 2600k will remain an extremely capable CPU in the next 5-6 years. Especially when overclocked. Mine is still at stock for now (want to get a better cooler than my TX3 in the long run).

I mean, look at the Q6600, it's turning 6 really soon, and if you give it a clockspeed bump, it can still game like a champ.

what info is even out there about haswell. Cause the one thing i really dont have an interest in is the talk out using more silicon space for gpu than making 6 cores the new quads so singles can be phased out. Since I consider a doul core minimum for anything. Cause multi core computing needs to reallu take off in software. As im looking more forward to that then x64bit support unless they just do both at the same time
