How are you guys running 4xMSAA without seeing any lag when you move your mouse?
For me I always get a little mouse lag when playing BC2 / BF3. One of the main reasons I dont play so often.

1 x HD 7970 will not Max out the game. If you are in 65-70 fps average its means you are hitting 50s. 50s is not maxing out the game. You have to be 90fps+ average to never drop under 60fps. Also it depends on the Maps. Try flying with a chopper in a B2K MAP. Watch the fps drop like crazy.

^ Agree. To truely max out a game i think it needs to run consistenly above 60 FPS. I have a reference HD7970 (MSI) and at stock speeds it does not meet this criteria with x4 MSAA. It is a strong card and plays BF3 well but on ultra with AA there plenty of maps that drop FPS into the 40s...thats not maxing a game IMO...of course ymmv.

I'm thinking of picking up a 7970 and being done with upgrades for a while. But i don't want to spend 600 buck if I don't have to. I had 2 gtx570's and bf3 ran like crap. So I think a single card is the best bet fo me.

When I had my 2 570's in sli it was artifacting out. So I'm guessing a single card soultion would be better.

You can sell your 2x GTX570 and put a little bit of money on top of that for a 7970, so it won't cost you 600 bucks straight out of wallet wink.gif.
