id suggest you get the 650D, as its mid tower but bigger inside. dont get me wrong though the 690 II has served me well but im left wishing i had more space.

The OP asked about two specific cases so I honored that.

I have a 690 II Advanced and not because I have it, but it's a great case.

Having said that if it were me I would definitely do heavy research on alternate cases as well, take time doing so while asking many questions.

The thing is pricing and availability - remember the OP is not in North America.

Hmmmmm... thats weird that case has only 2 USB 3.0 ports. Cooler Master must of made two versions of this case. The one Memory Express has. It has USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports on the front. Look at this picture.

690 II PLUS Nvidia Edition USB 3.0 version (NV-692P-KWN5) top panel:

690 II Advanced Nvidia Edition USB 3.0 version (NV-692A-KWN5) top panel:

As you see the I/O is different AND on the Advanced model there's a cover for the hot swap verses none for the PLUS model as it's just a "storage" spot.  I would make sure of the model number starting with "NV" so to know what you're getting IF you want any of these cases that is.  But with the Advanced model you're getting a bit more.  Compare the two source URL's to see and compare the particulars like fans, accessories, etc..

Added Edit: Just to remind you that the Nvidia Edition case left side panel has that green plexiglas design and NO fans can be mounted on it.  The Advanced Edition should come with a left side panel with places to mount fans.  This only comes into play if you need or want to mount fans on the side panel.

the 690 is not small. in fact, you two are probably the first people i've come across that classify the 690 as small. could there be more space? yes. but the 690 is among the roomiest mid-towers out there. i'm not a 690 fanboi. i speak not because i have this case, i speak because prior to buying it i did the same thing the OP is doing. i asked around... i googled, i read tons of reviews, watched videos to get a clear picture of the space inside... the 5970 is one of the longest cards available. the 690 misses on accommodating it by only a few millimetres, so i'm sure there's a bit of fiddling around you could do to fit even that.

bottom line... if you have the space around your desk and if you plan on putting in 5970's or want a lot of room for a complicated loop and don't want to bother with having to think of space management, then get a full tower. if you want a reasonably priced, well built mid-tower, get the 690. don't just believe me. check pictures of peoples' rigs and see that you can fit almost any video card in a 690 and also get a nice wc setup, all with a clean, uncluttered look.
