Help me run my tubes !!

hey guys, I have just bought a reference 6990 off eBay, and it is on the way now.
I also have a reference 6950 that I will be using as well.
I will be adding this all to my HAF932 and will hopefully be water cooling the whole system.
The problem is that the GPU will be REALLY close to the PSU.
As pictured below, the bottom PCIe Slot is the 2nd last slot on the motherboard, with the motherboard touching up against the top of the PSU.

I am planning to run my tubing from the CPU to the top GPU (the 6990) down via a sli bridge to the 2nd GPU and then out the bottom, but there will be VERY tight between the GPU and the PSU. Does anybody if this can be done, with or without additional fittings? (Basicly run the tube out of the GPU in the space available to a 2slot cooler)
Additional thoughts... is it possible for the tube to go out between the GPU's?

Nope. But you can xfire them... sorry I had to be a ... *insert profanity*
On a side note, the 6950 is BIOS unlocked to a 6970, thus it has the same shader count and frequencies as a 6970 as well as a PCB layout that as far as I can work out, only differs in the power.\

tl;dr A 6990 and a 6970 CAN crossfire as they share the same core architecture. With a tri-fire resulting.

Yes I would think it can be done but instead of using a bridge maybe just use tubing? The Ek blocks let you use any two as inlets/outlets so you could do something like this with one 90 degree fitting and the rest reg compressions or barbs:

430

edit: Also maybe put a rad between the CPU and GPUs from what I've heard 6990s run pretty hot. I wouldn't know for sure though. thumb.gif Also pro paintskillz lol

Perfect answer, I will most likely use a 45° fitting or even one of those snazzy triple swivley ones, no idea yet. Yeah Im going to have to find a way to get another rad in this loop, the 360 should be fine for CPU + 6990 but triple GPU might push it over the top. Funnily enough the RAD is 'rated' at 1000W thermal output, which would be about 125W more than I am expecting from the system. None the less, It looks like I have to replace almost the entire loop, as the pump isnt good enough either (which rules out the res).

Or you can do it like I did it, with water going to lower card first and exiting through top card wink.gif
