Plasma has serious issues getting the dot pitch small enough for monitor use. Creating a 50"+ 1080p screen allows for some pretty large pixels. Even a 22" monitor at 1680x1050 will have much smaller pixels than you could allow for on a TV.

I have a glass l shaped desk and honestly if I stuck a Sony FW900 on it I can guarantee the desk will shatter. I will agree tho that a top quality CRT will smash a LCD/LED but for someone like myself I prefer a nice LCD. I run a LG IPS 1920x1080 and I could not be happier. Going back to the CRT days at least for me is a no go cause I love my desk

It would be the best $375 you EVER spent in the history of your gaming. If you buy it, try it and disagree, I will eat a car. And not a compact car, I will eat a freaking CADILLAC!
Yea dude, those stats are actually pretty amazing compared to the slop LCDs that are for sale now.

Um, yeah, whatever.
I find my IPS235 very impressive to be honest. IPS, LED. What people say it's worst for gaming.
A little bit of ghosting? Maybe, I don't notice it usually. Almost zero input lag, and AMAZING picture quality.
To be honest, I like too much my ultra-quiet ultra-cool ultra-low power consuming operation LED screens to ever go back to a CRT. Sure they look better (at least Trinitron tubes did), but I won't pay 5X power bills nor have a toaster on my desk. Ever again.
Ghosting? No dude, I have never had an issue with LCD ghosting and as you can see from my original post I have owned a few LCDs. No, the PROBLEM is motion, when a game is set in motion, be it quick turning in a FPS or flying really fast in a sim, the LCD will turn all of the moving items into MUSH, whereas the CRT will correctly display the objects in "True Life Form" as they wizz by. Trust me, if you put your LCD next to the FW900, you would Ebay your LCD soon after.

CRT looked so damn good when Vista came out. It was vibrant, looked like candy because of the glass on the CRT. Games were beautiful even at lower resolutions. Man was that thing heavy and sucked A LOT of power. Ugly puke colored. -I do miss spraying windex to clean my monitor though.
This LCD, looks good enough, doesn't cost an extra 10$ a month to use. Sleek and sexy. 1080p is as small as I want to view anyways. I can take it anywhere.
Colors a bit washed
-has resale value if I ever need to.Disagree with that suckers.

Pretty lame comment IMO. Just because you love CRT's does not mean others want one. Ok CRT's of high quality do Smash and LCD but IMO Id rather have x3 IPS panels in eyefinity then one large 600 pound CRT on my desk. So your saying that to be a true PC gamer you have to own a high end CRT or else you should just go play consoles because your not good enough n what ever to be a PC gamer?

Not to mention putting a CRT on my glass desk will probably shatter it.

No I said if your going to complain about the SIZE of a display then you may as well play consoles because your PC CASE is most likely the SIZE of a car. You saying a CRT is too big is like me saying a PC CASE is too big...get it?
This is exactly what I am talking about. Thank you for your post.
