worth changing the cpu fan?

Thread Starter
hi all

ok i was thinking of changing the cpu fan for a bigger one but i am not sure if it's worth it?

ok so the fan i have atm is http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cooler-Maste...&s=electronics

now if i got say http://www.amazon.co.uk/ZALMAN-CNPS-...&s=electronics

would it realy do a lot better at cooling or should i stay with the one i got?

thanks for any help.

(edit) how hard is it to change the heatsink and fan?

cheers.

It would improve a bit.

But, take a look at this one:

Noctua NH-U9 CPU Heatpipe Heatsink (HS-001-NC) £29.32 Including VAT at 17.5% (4th from top).

Just add a good 92mm fan, and you'd be set.

I would personaly go with the Zalman 9500 if you want an upgrade from what you have now other than that i dont think you will see much of a difference from the links mentioned above, just my opinion!
