What do you do after reporting "blow-out" earnings and instituting larger, pricier, data plans? If you're AT&T, why not go for the jugular by doubling upgrade fees?

You don't need the URL codes, remove them and you're fine. Otherwise the link won't work. tongue.gif

people can fight back by not buying from any of these companies forcing you into contracts with outrageous fees look at netflix they backed off after same thing can happen here all that needs to happen is people unite to push them back.

This. I did exactly this. You lose a bit of the luxury of a very very wide voice network, but if you don't really travel into "the boonies" much, then it really doesn't matter.

I can't stand AT&T and their business practices. Constantly report record profits quarter after quarter and never give breaks back to your customers.

I hope more people jump ship and finally send a message to the big cell providers. There's one person here on OCN that seems that they'll defend AT&T to the death, and I can't for the life of me understand why...

While I don't mind if AT&T gives their own customers trouble, I don't like consumer-unfriendly moves that could set precedents in the already out-of-control phone carrier marketplace... :/

^ This.

I actually really love ATT down here in Miami but.. sheesh. This just has gotten really blatant, and if Verizon / Sprint / T-Mobile catch wind of this and implement it.. well, lines their pockets and drains ours just a little bit more :\

I work there as well and this is just going to hurt us overall. It's hard enough to try and get them to pay 18$ let alone 36$? This has gone too far.

Is that a question? That'll be $15; question fee, no excuses.
In all seriousness though, there's a fee for everything.
