hmmm not really hardware wise if you're counting pure numbers tongue.gif
the S3 is slower than the OMAP4460, Tegra 2 and Exynos last I looked wink.gif
Exynos, yes. Tegra 2, no, OMAP yes. Exynos has problems though, Samsung is the only one using it (and sparingly) for a reason. It's bloody fast but not consistent. Android doesn't seem to like them. Overclock the S3 to 2.0GHz and overclock the OMAP to 1.5 and the S3 will curbstomp it. Plus, with some things clock speed IS what matters most.

i would take an Samsung Galaxy SII Epic 4G Touch anyday for that POS

*Pros
  • significantly faster GPU
  • better sound quality
  • significantly better camera
  • better build quality (although the nexus is more ergonomic)

the only advantage of galaxy nexus is
  • ICS out of the box
  • 720p screen

epic 4g touch is supposed to get ICS update very soon

as for the OP

i would get the razr maxx at it has the best battery life on any 4G smartphone right now

it also has superior build quality, audio quality and camera

though you had to wait until april for it to get ICS

You forgot about the dog crap that is touchwiz. Also, Samsung and build quality shouldn't be in the same sentence. Motorola builds quality, but rubbish software. HTC is fairly good at both.

And i wouldn't awnt to own a phone i that I couldn't remember the whole name to. SGSIIE4GT FTL.

To the best of my knowledge, NOBODY has detailed ICS rollout times. And we all know Samsung doesn't stick to them anyway. Motorola will be first.

i own a lot of phone such as OG Droid milestone, Samsung Fascinate, Samsung Epic 4G, Droid X2, Droid Razr, HTC Evo 3D, Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4G Touch and out of all those phone

Samsungs touchwiz one of the best especially on E4GT, it is by far the smoothest(Hardware GPU rendering UI) of the bunch excluding ICS, the drop down toggle menus are extremely handy, the keyboard is awesome, and many more(though it lacks transition and animation effects compared to latest htc sense have)

afaik, there is already a leaked ICS Beta on GSM Droid Razr(though it is not really usable at the moment)

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1470613

there is also an ICS on CDMA Droid Razr

http://www.droidrzr.com/index.php/topic/1050-rom-aokp-axi0m-r-kang-403-2202012/

as far as the official release, i think it would take a looooooong while for the CDMA Droid Razr to get official ICS Update

Yeah I own three of 'em. Next time pay attention and don't call me out when you don't know how much I know.

Every review I've read has said TouchWiz is the worst of the custom UIs. They say the only great parts of it are the notification toggles, and built in screenshotter, but ICS has that built in now. Ever used touchwiz on a Droid Charge? You'll hate it from that point on. I messed with a friend's once and couldn't believe how awful it was. Phone had perfectly good (not monster hardware but pretty high end) and it just crawled. Brand new too. Took seconds to even wake up.

I don't feel like reading your link.

The latest blur is better but still not great. Vanilla Android beats it any day.

Only good HTC phone is the Rezound? How about the Nexus One? Droid Incredible? Evo 4G? Thunderbolt? Yeah they were all rubbish...rolleyes.gif

I said ICS rollout times, not custom ROM times. Dang neared every phone has custom ICS ROMs, you're no better than anyone else in that respect bud. And I won't run an ICS ROM until they do start releasing, because stuff just doesn't work as good until at least one official release from the manufacturer happens.

And as I said, I do know, I've run android exclusively since the OG Droid launch, and custom ROMs since the bootloader got cracked.

HTC has said that they'll deliver updates to Sensations by the end of March, so I think the RAZR will get ICS sooner than you think. HTC is trying to beat Motorola but i doubt it'll happen. Motorola has been the fastest every round. I'd be VERY surprised if the RAZR doesn't have ICS by the end of March.

there is a reason why manufacturer put their own UI on top of android

oh wait, did i said anything about custom rom on E4GT?

the ICS that i linked is a leaked build and most of the stuff is functioning perfectly except GPS and stuff

also it is actively being develop and the latest build as of now is FB21 and is expected to be leaked very soon just like the FB17

being an official release build does not guarantee that everything would function perfectly fine ex: Galaxy Nexus 4.0.3
Droid 2, etc...

i own a Droid Razr and is active on Development forums

the only Droid Razr that would get ICS soon is the GSM version not the CDMA(there is also leaked build of ICS for it but is not useable as daily driver)

it would take a long time for CDMA Droid Razr to be upgraded as evident by the leaked roadmap and lack of any leaked builds of ICS

galaxy nexus, no question. i paid buttloads to get the GSM version, makes sense to get that phone as such a good price.
