Worst experience with computer case ever (bitfenix colossus window)

Thread Starter
I bought the bitfenix colossus window case earlier in 2011. I really liked the look of it and what it offered in terms of expandability but now regretting the buy. About 3 months in of owning the case the top 230mm fan started to get very noisy on boot up and stay like that for about 5 minutes at the desktop then it would quiet down. I just dealt with it for the longest time and now decided to replace it with another fan.

Taking the the top of the case off to get to the screws of the fan you had to find the two screws holding the top of the case and it was pretty hard to get to the the screw on the back side of the case. You also need a smaller screwdriver because of how narrow the space is to reach the screw. After putting the replacement fan in, I affixed the top of the case and starting screwing it on. While screwing the top back on the plastic pieces the screws go in broke and now the top of my case does not stay on securely. The case is full of this brittle plastic. The plastic rivets holding the window on the side door break and fall off and the plastic parts holding the magnets that hold the front door closed were found broken hidden behind the front panel. Also I'll add in there they sent me the case with the window looking like this. 2zprptf.jpg
All this makes me feel like they do a shoddy job assembling these cases.

I also been having a hard time with their support. I ask them about how to go about getting a replacement top 230mm fan along replacing the other parts that are broken and the guy(I found him on facebook lol) that contacts me does not answer all of my email and just asks for my address to send me the replacement fan. Pretty much ignores the fact that i need other replacement parts and 4 days have past and I haven't heard back from the guy. I messaged the support guys email with my address for sending the fan again and he acts like hes never talked to me before. I tell him I have a question i want to ask thats about getting other replacement parts and he responds "whats ur question?"..... and no response again after i ask my question. I have about given up contacting them.

I do like the case but when i keep running into problems like this I'd rather do a before and after picture of this case being blown up and going out and buying a nice corsair case. Now that I'm finished with my rant. What are your guys experience with bitfenix?

-pictures of all parts defective. (A little bit better quality with more lighting than that picture you posted. I still don't understand where that picture is taken from)
and whatever else I'll need from you, I'll ask you in the email.

Edit: Thanks for the email. You'll be in good hands now. wink.gif
