Helps if you have a good mouse. My steel series is still in the post. Bloody royal mail. Got 5 day postage and it's been 10 already.

That's just cheating -.- .... and it would not help him get used to the keyboard and mouse setup for gaming in the long run either....

Wait.....where were we? Oh yeah, the topic at hand. One of my greatest regrets is that I waited so long to build my own system. If you have the money, you should too. You will not regret it for all of the reasons the other members have stated. Plus, there is a wealth of experience on the site to help you prepare for the build and to advise you when/or if problems arise. Go for it!
Skyrim in 6 hours? I still can't wrap my brain around that one.

Its a lie... The world record for quickest main quest playthrough of skyrim is about 9 hours and something minutes.

Apparently someone decided to go hard core and there are now guys beating it in 2 hours.

Better FPS, mouse and keyboard, more players, servers, being able to upgrade your computer, so many more perks. I can't stand console gaming after being a PC gamer for a while now. Its something I don't think I'll be able to go back to unless something changes, like added servers, mouse and keyboard.. ect..

Also MATURE people play PC, kids play console.

Basically building your own is a big achievement, self rewarding, you know how it all works, you can upgrade parts easily in the future. I myself was a console gamer a bit more than a month ago, with the great help of everyone here on OCN, I managed to build my own PC, It's great do it! My specs are in my sig too....

quite rightly posted, you don't get little kids screaming down their mic with PC gaming!
