If you're ordering from evga, use the step-up program to get the next gen cards if they come out when they're supposed to. Thats what im doing in about 2 weeks when i buy my gtx570

Slightly correct. Please visit the EVGA page for actual warranty and step up info before you buy the card. There are certain product codes eligible for this program. I do not work for EVGA or promote them, but I do own an EVGA GTX 570 SC and you will need to buy the right one in order to get the step up program. Or you will need to pay for an extended warranty. I suggest product codes that end in -AR. That will get you the limited lifetime warranty and be eligible for the step up. I bought my card probably a couple months too soon so unless EVGA adds the kepler on their step up list by March 23rd, I am stuck with upgrading to a 580. frown.gif I do have money saved up for a second 570 for SLI and was going to step them both up to Kepler but I think I will hold off until I find out if I can even get the Kepler. If I can't I might just SLI 580s. Or I might wait till I can buy the Kepler 580 when it comes out and just have one card.

^^^Off topic but to answer the EVGA question.^^^

This includes the following suffixes: -K1, -K2, -KB, -KR
Products purchased ON or AFTER November 1, 2006 MUST be registered within 30 days of the ORIGINAL DATE OF PURCHASE to receive EVGA's Free Extended Warranty. All products not registered within 30 days will ONLY receive a 1 year limited warranty. Refer to the following suffix guide to identify the length of your warranty:
Limited Lifetime: -A1, -A2, -A3, -A4, -AR, -AX, -CR, -CX, -DX, -FR, -FX, -SG, -SX
Limited 5 Year: -GR
Limited 3 Year: -K1, -K2, -KB, -KR (Before 1/1/11)

Quote:
How does the EVGA Step-Up process work?

There are several steps to the Step-Up program. Because we require that you send your original product to EVGA first, we have instituted a process that makes sure you have the least amount of downtime possible. Once you have gotten through the queue, approval and payment phases, you can send your product in to EVGA and once we receive it we will turn it around as quickly as possible. Shipping both directions will be your responsibility.
Stepping through the Step-Up

Register your valid product within 30 days from your original purchase
If your product has a 3 year warranty purchased on or after 1/1/11 you must also purchase an extended warranty
Upload a copy of your invoice
Request to start your Step-Up within 90 days of your original purchase from your product detail page
Navigate to My Products under Member Home
Click on View Details of the product
If your product qualifies, you will see the option to start your Step-Up
Wait in queue until approval - this step can last from a few days to many weeks depending on demand
EVGA will review your request and you will be approved if you have met the terms and conditions
You will have 7 days to pay for the difference between the two products, plus return shipping and applicable taxes, after you have been approved
You will be instructed to send your product in and you will have 14 business days to do so after your payment is verified
When EVGA receives your product, we will return your new in box upgrade
EVGA will automatically register your product so you will receive the full warranty on your Step-Up (as of 1/1/11)
You will receive your product shipped via the shipping option you chose and paid for - game on!

You will receive detailed emails at every step to instruct what must be done to continue. All Step-Up requests must go through this exact process, you may not purchase the new product and send your original product back for a refund afterward.

Anth, did you modify it in any way, or do something stupid like over-volt the card?
