BF3 Frame drop/ Stutter/Lag after shooting any gun

Whenever I Shoot a gun it Stutters/Lags and the FPS drops a few and then shoots back up. I am unsure how to resolve the issue. Maybe there is a known fix for this...

PS. I seems to only occur on unmounted guns. Tripods are fine.

Have you tried different drivers?

I have before. Right now I'm on the newest beta drivers. Really strange that the games seems to lag harder the more constantly I shoot. So a larger burst will cause more of a lag than a shot burst.

Most of the time my frames don't even drop.

I can get a solid 120fps in most areas even when shooting. but the lag still happens.

Have you tried to see if disabling SLI changes anything? Also, you should check to see what your GPU usage is. This doesn't happen to any other games?

nope, this shooting lag issue is specific to this game only. I had the same issue before when I was using a gtx 580, single 560 and SLI 560s

Well with everything else you've answered I'll assume you tried doing a clean install of the game. You might need to check your CPU and GPU percentages. I'm not sure what else would be causing this other than the things mentioned before.

Can you maybe explain it a little differently, because I don't quite understand what you're experiencing? thinking.gif

For example, when using an automatic weapon and you pull the trigger and hold it, the longer you hold a spray of bullets the more it lags. especially once you stop shooting. It is mostly when you are done shooting the gun kind of jumps back all jittery. Kind of like a recoil issue...

I'm going to try and get a video up of the issue if I can.

Here's something that stopped mine from crashing, it may help your situation though it probably won't. Go into your volume controls and uncheck allow application to control this (or something close to that)

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that the way the game is supposed to work? The longer you spray the less accurate it is, harder to control, and more 'jittery' it becomes, if you will.
