BF3 Frame drop/ Stutter/Lag after shooting any gun - Page 5

I have that game on my steam account, just have to re install it and give it a go. I'll report back later...

UPDATE: Bad company 2 plays fine. None of the issues we talked about in BF3.

However multiplayer games seem to stutter online for me, probably because of my slow internet connection.

Did you ever hear back from tech support? I still haven't heard back from them...

Nope, nothing....

I guess they just dont give a S***, they will tell us whatever we want to hear just so we go away... I'm pretty close to giving up on pc gaming as developers these days only really seem to care about consoles.

It's not your rigs. It's a combination of two things:

A) 90% of the game is just broken to some extent. Small list:

Jumping over crap doesn't work half the time.
You get stuck on a small object when trying to move.
Falling to a 'bad luck' death from jumping or moving off of something relatively low in height. Or water.
ADS and strafing causes jittery movement and can sometimes keep moving you after you release the key.

B) 10% Driver problems for some people.

That's it. It's mostly the game, not your rigs. BF3 is/could be a fantastic game but at present is partially broken enough to cause problems for people who shouldn't have any on their rigs. Perhaps the update will fix most of these problems, whenever it is released. Perhaps it might break more things, who knows. 'Til then, it sucks badly in quite a few areas..

Personally, there are a few third party fixes/injects that are NOT frowned upon by PB/Origin that I've used that seem to be treating me quite well.

I'm using that at the moment. The only downside I feel with using that is when I look from the US spawn on Metro to C point in Conquest I get mad FPS drops.

Another little tool that I use is this:

jackeyjoe recommended me this and it works a treat. Personally I capped it at 60 FPS and it runs a bit nicer for me. There's also a few fixes here and there that you can choose to implement. As to whether it is completely worth it I cannot say, but it's worth giving it a shot.

Thanks for the tips. Though the issue is not related to fxaa I would think. I have played around with that tool before and I think I will try it again. Really trying to fix the issue with recoil jitter and jump.

I have the SAME problem as you. No one knows the answer? Its destroy the feeling of the game.

I got a:

FX-4100

Intel 120GB SSD
8GB 1333mhz RAM

No one knows?!

Cheers from Sweden. wink.gif

sorry to hear you are suffering from the same thing. Atleast we know now its not related to the motherboard or processor since you're running AMD.hope this upcoming patch fixes the problem

I had a very similar problem in BFBC2 where the recoil of guns or moving side-to-side and has the gun settle would cause this micro-stuttering of sorts that didn't actually effect fps. I was crossing my fingers today that this would be avoided in BF3 (I just got my copy yesterday) and to my dismay, it has the EXACT same issue. For the life of me, I can;t figure it out. I guess It's back to the trnechs of troubleshooting.

Like it was previously posted, I also think it's the game.

Whenever I get under 60 fps, I feel microstuttering. Everything feels slow/delayed around 50 fps; it feels like 25.

I gave up trying to figure it out.
