Hi guys need some information,I am about to buy a new computer built around a dual core 6700 but what motherboard,Graphics card(was thinking 7950 1Gb)and hard drive.It will only be used for games,when built this will have to last a while so your the guys with the knowledge whats your thoughts

IMHO, G80 is like 2 months away and supports DX10, If you want it to last for a long time wait for the geforce 8800. Should be out before christmas.

How much are you willing to spend?

Yeah, if your main purpose is gaming, I would definatly wait on buying video cards until DX10 cards are out.

you can get a 7600gs now, and wait for DX10.
For the rst of computer i sugest 1 Raptor X 150GB
A Asus p5B
2 GB RAM 800mhz
And a watercooler maybe?

Get a 7900GS....I hear they overclock like crazy....Then when the DX10 cards come out, get one of these and sell the 7900GS....
