You can find info about the board recall here.

I suggest checking with Asus and see if you are covered by this. It sounds like you may be having the recall issue.

What does it say be low rev: 09?

For the Southbridge? > B1, B3?

If it is not B3 it is for sure the older revision.

Here is my mobo, the newer B3.

That a first gen board...its your board that's dying, not the drives. You should have RMA'd that puppy a year ago. tongue.gif

The first 1155 boards had issues with the SATA 3Gbps ports, they would slowly slowly degrade..and then eventually die completely.

Yours are to the point they're dying completely. This is the 3Gbps ports...not the 6Gbps ports, right?

RMA your board, your problems will go away. wink.gif

Oh Sean, his is an early version. My board says right on it Rev 3.0. Not Rev 1.0.

RMA! I don't know whether you should be happy we may have found the issue or sad because now you have to do without your system due to RMA. lol, at least your drives are OK. smile.gif

Your best bet is to RMA and get an updated new board. The B3 revision corrected all of the issues that you are experiencing. It is a pain in the butt to deal with, but you bought a defective product, and they will replace it for you.

Hassle? Yes
Worth returning and getting a new mobo with a fresh warranty? YES.

Also a new board might yield in a better overclock for your cpu. Just stick to using a old pc for a week or two. RMA would be worth it.
Though if you really don't feel like going though all the trouble then pci-e sata controller will work fine. Though just note that most of them you can't boot from, so keep your dvd drive and os hard drive on the sata-6 ports.
