[AI] Apple to disrupt notebook space with radically redesigned MacBook Pros - Page 2

Eh, I don't know how Apple brainwashes people into buying their overpriced stuff. I'm a business major and it is just jarring to think what Apple has become. I wonder if the radically redesigned MBA will be so different. Would make sense for the new one to have Ivy Bridge and a SSD in there to justify the high price tag.

Some people need to get off the hate bandwagon. Newer i3/5/7 macbooks don't heat up nearly as fast or as severe as the old ones

They're following in the footsteps of the ipod touch to ipad transition: Make one product, then strrrrrrrrrretch it out to make a new product.

They don't heat up as fast or severe because they happen to be record highs of absolute nothing with them. I would love to see one of these run Prime95 or Folding@Home.

I think the redesign is not all for aesthetics, but for important factors as well such as temperature.

The average joe too does not like their machine as a portable stove. If the designer is smart as I think he is, then it'll be legendary.

I'm excited.

Boooo. I like my MBP with SSD + 1TB HD combo. I also want a 45W TDP processor which you can't put in the slimness of the MBA!

I'd guess maybe Apple drops thickness by 0.2" and weight by 0.5-1 pounds, and it's an instant hit for everyone who thinks its soooo much more portable.
The 2010 13 inch MacBook Pro never had discrete graphics, the GeForce 320M was an integrated GPU. The Sandy Bridge graphics are similar but slightly slower than the 320M.
