Thermalright Coming Up with the Silver Arrow SB-E CPU Cooler - Page 3

Thread Starter
Those are better fan clips.

I've heard back from a German store who will send an SB-E to me for 110 Euros ($137 Aussie dollars) It's a bit more than I wanted to pay so I'll wait for others to reply.

UPDATE: I've just heard back from an Australian retailer who will have them in stock in the next couple of weeks. It would take that long for one to arrive from Germany so I'll just wait and grab one as soon as it's in stock. Can't wait!

the overall surface area seems to be a bit smaller compared to the orginal SA.

Yeah, would also be very curious to see some temps comparisons. I love my original SA, but would consider swapping it for the new version if there was a significant improvement.

Here are some results of sb-e silver arrow from a.. German site.. I think.

http://www.hardwaremax.net/reviews/kuehler/420-test-thermalright-silver-arrow-sb-e.html?start=7

From what I can tell it looks like it does worse than the old Silver Arrow..?

Would appear so. Dose the SB-E come with 2 fans or 3? Lufter=fans, they only tested with 2 fans.

Yea, only 2 fans were used, but even with 2 fans I thought 8 x 6mm pipes would've definitely done better than 4 x 8mm pipes.

So more heat pipes but less overall appearing surface area = not as good arrowheadsmiley.png

I hope this is not the case and I'm really excited about this cooler and recently sold my original SA to make room in my closet for it.

Who know's lol. Any one even know if their test can be trusted? I would think that the SB-E would perform better..but I also thought that BD was going to perform well too lol.
