[zdnet] Apple seeks Galaxy Nexus injunction in U.S. over four patents - Page 8

Just to point something out about the GNex; while the screen is 4.65 inches, the width is only 2.675 in for the entire phone compared to the Galaxy S2 at 2.6, and the Iphone 4s at 2.309 it really isn't all that much harder to hold in your hand; I have one and while at first it was giant compared to my tiny little Original Droid, I could never imagine going back to such a small screen.

What I think people forget to realize is that the soft keys take up about a quarter of an inch on the GNex; so in reality the "screen" when in normal use isn't all *that* big, but when your watching a video it will remove those keys and you get the full 4.65 glory.

If it wasn't for those buttons it would only be a 4.2 inch screen.

Regardless; Apple will more than likely be bumping the screen size up to at least 4 inches for their next phone, especially if the current market demand is saying that bigger screens aren't a problem (which right now it seems to be saying that.) They should also stop grabbing at straws; I've said this in other threads like this: If they didn't feel threatened by the Galaxy Nexus they would take it up on all of android, not just the single phone. thumb.gif

Just because their measly iPhone 4S can't compete spec wise...
Apple's motto: If you can't beat'em, ban'em.

Actually, the Gnex's specs are somewhat underwhelming for a "next generation" phone. Iphone 4S is still a great phone by anyone's standards, it's not a coincidence that they're often awarded editors choice on reviewing websites.
