NEWS Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Hello people!
Call me NXZ, username had to be over 4 characters so I added some more useless letters. I've been a lifelong PC enthusiast, only recently got my first rig, but I have modded laptops into AIO PCs and done a few other projects. Bit more than a casual, but not hardcore gamer.

I have decided to make a owners club for AMDs APU (A-, E-, and C-Series )
Even though I looked around to see if there was one already, I could not find one! There is this thread (AMD Llano APUs) that suggest someone start one. No one has... I have the time to do it... and I figured, why not?

So guys! guess what! we have a new club administrator! He is WumpusRX!
So, you guys can now send your validation links to him too, remember, IF YOU DO NOT SEND THEM BY PM, WE WILL IGNORE THEM. yea, that really did need caps lock smile.gif
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

The only requirement to join is a CPU-z validation link with your username. Like this one. (though I don't think it plays well with A8, I keep getting rejected evaluation ?)and obviously ownership of any APU.
Send me or WumpusRX a PM with your Validation link and any other details you would like specified.

WHEN YOU MAKE THE VALIDATION, HAVE PRIME95 OR SOME CPU INTENSIVE PROGRAM OPEN SO YOU DON'T GET THE ~800 MHz SPEED, THOSE THAT DO NOT, WILL HAVE A SHAMEFUL LOW CORE SPEED IN THE LIST! PM ME WITH NEW VALIDATION LINK IF YOU CHANGE YOUR SPEED.

Google Spreadsheet

Google Spreadsheet

Well that didn't take long Himo5 has overtaken Farmer Boe with an clock speed of 5,047.2 MHz(49 multi; 103 MHz BC)
Congratulations to Himo5.

This guide pretty much covers it all, and you might even translate it to another MB! thanks ValSidalv21!

might as well add me im getting an A4 3300M tomorrow though so no screen shot and/or validation yet

(have had some bad luck 2 laptops and 2 screen probs first one had a screen defect with a big line right through the screen 2nd got a dead pixel in the dead center of the screen :/ hopefully 3rd times the charm so to speak)

also maybe edit in some info into the first post? like Slappa's guide for OCing the mobile APU's here http://www.overclock.net/t/1180045/apu-mobile-overclocking-and-the-igpu#post_15894437

To get this going, I added you without the validation link, but if you don't send it within a few days, I'm afraid I will have to remove you from the list frown.gif no unfair advantages smile.gif

I got that link up, quite the guide I must say. I did search for a desktop OCing guideline, but had no luck, I might post up my experience next week with my ASUS F1 A75-M Pro, seems quite straight forward!

hmm, sad to hear someone is having troubles with AMDs APUs :/ though it seems as though it was a screen problems, no? I've dealt with dead pixels before, and I'm sure we agree, NO FUN.

awesome! and yea, seems like cpu-z doesn't like your APU either, it adds 100Mhz to the fsb, but still shows the clock speed right... hmmm but its valid proof of ownership!

Here is probably the best OC Guide for the AMD A75 Chipset, it's from GIGABYTE: Link

They use a GIGABYTE A75M-D2H motherboard and AMD A8-3850 APU. Can't find one for the unlocked APU's but they are much easier to OC anyway smile.gif

yea, I have that feature enabled too, easy on the power bill lol, you can just bypass that low clock by running almost any mid level program.... some kind of photo editor, or video editor, maybe even watching an hd movie? running a good game... anyways, you're on the list!

Well, just noticed this thread and decided to say hello!
Had to build a budget computer (last one decided to burn up). Must say, I am definitely NOT disappointed with this build. It does everything I want it to do. Now I have extra money, I'm trying to decide if I want to run dual GPU's (6670) or go for a single 69xx.
Just started doing some minor OC'ing but I'm ordering a new case, fans, and Corsair's H100 water cooling.

Oh, btw, 2249870.png

Mobile: A4-3300M, Asus k53ta-sx029d, validation: unstable (full system stress test is stable without overheating at 3.2 GHz )

Validation failed, because CPU-Z displayes 100 MHz FSB, while validator records 200 MHz -> CPU multiplier*base clock does not match CPU clock speed. I have sent an error notification to CPUID, no reply so far.
