I saw that some of the FM2 boards come with Lucid Virtu which adds quite a lot of performance to games with lucid profiles. Upto 25% in some intel K series bench marked when used in conjunction with either an nvidia or ati card of ANY level.
So my point / question was really, would be that the Lucid virtu on board would have to use on chip graphics in conjunction with the dedicated, just like the intel does! In the case of AMD the on chip graphics are going to be the APU ?? so therefore if this is the case then you can expect to be able to use an APU with a 7970 in this mode. and so, the performance in this mode would be significantly higher than the intel virtu solution and be a really nice boost for those times when you wanted the extra.
i understand cpu wise there slower than intel but it all depends what you want from the chip
Lucid virtu MVP doesn't actually increase performance, it just optimizes framesrates to monitor refresh rates so you always get full frames. Framerate monitors get a false fps reading somehow, but actual user experience should be nicer. Your igpu becomes a frame sceduler for a discrete, so it only makes the frames that get displayed, and as complete frames, not two partials.
I Have no experience with it but looked it up to see what it did as some boards I'm looking at for an a10 build. This is how I interpreted the description from Lucid's website ( think it was theirs anyways)
