beg to differ, the a10 is on par with 3220/3225 (there is no 3320)
I stated earlier the gpu side trinity vs llano was a pretty big jump, considering i went up 550 3dmark points and lost some cpu score there too, so probably closer to 600pt difference with that equal. ( an i3-3225 scores p637 total)

Yeah thanks for the information! I am a fan of these APUs... biggrin.gif

^ Typo LOL

And no, the A10-5800K's graphics absolutely destroy the Core i3's integrated graphics.

I was refering to cpu only, I am in full agreement that a10 gpu walks all over hd4000.

True indeed... Well after trying out the games I play again, I think the A8-3850 will last me until the next gen of APU. It feels like I have gotten my money's worth out of this APU! Its a good feeling! thumb.gif

Holy Cats! These exist!

Mind you, I'm just getting back into the computing scene now, been AWOL for a couple years. When I departed from the scene, there was talk of eventually bringing the APU to the consumer market, but no hardware existed.

And now it's here!

Anyone knows how much would a 5800K would bottleneck a 7850/70? I mainly got the 5800K because its a better value then the 3220. Plus, I'm going to use the 7660D GPU for a while until I can get enough money for the 7850/70

I don't think it'll bottleneck 78xx card as 5800K is a pretty good CPU in it's own right. Even if it did it shouldn't be too much.

That is just my opinion from what I have seen, I haven't run a discrete card of that level with an APU.

Yeah I wouldnt worry too much about a "bottleneck" unless you are cross firing the 7850 / 70

This Biostar looks like the only A85X motherboard with 2 DIMM slots. However, if you don't mind 4, my recommendation would be this motherboard from ASRock: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157342

It has VRM heat sinks and I have personally never had a problem with any of my ASROCK boards...
