Also, could I set the extended desktop mode to have my CPU/GPU gadget on the secondary monitor while I play? Maybe have a video going on for another occupant sitting at the desk using headphones while I am on the couch with controller playing a game with sound system? I assume there is no way to have the mouse disabled so one could browse the internet on the secondary monitor while I game?
It will not work I guess... Even if it did, you can't play the sound of the game on 1 device and the sound of the movie on the second device I guess... Aren't they on the same output? I mean, when you plug in your headphones, doesn't it auto switch from speakers to headset?
I'm not that close into audio excually or mixer-software on the PC to say that that audio must go to that output etc...
I think its better for you to save up for a second PC
For very few money you can buy a great rig! And you don't need a tv/monitor
