Wireless adapter recommendations?

Thread Starter
I just picked up a netgear wndr3700 and am looking for a good wireless adapter for it for my pc. Only about 60 feet or so distance between them, a hallway and a wall. Any suggestions on a good adapter? I'll be gaming and large file transfers mostly, along with the usual OCN'n biggrin.gif Are the pci-e w/ antennae > w/o antennae or usb? Id rather have it internal, but if usb is better, i'll go that route.
Also need a Gigabit nic card for the pc that'll be wired to the router, it's still on 10/100.

thanks

Asus N53 USB adapter if you want to take advantage of the WNDR3700's concurrent dual band capabilities.

A lot of Wireless N adapters advertise 300 or even 450MB, but they don't even take advantage of the faster 5 Ghz band.

Gigabit NICs have been around for a long time, very matured product. Pretty much any one of them will do.

I have these two cards (wired / wireless)

The wired is on my HTPC that has a busted NIC, the wireless is on my kids Spongebob rig. Both work very well for me. The USB adapter is kind of annoying, as its external, but whatever. It works very well and the price was right. smile.gif

i had this thread open in a tab, but was finishing my order for the Asus n53 that Xiphos had recommended...was a hair bit more than i had planned on spending, but it's dual band and got really good reviews, regardless of what site i looked at, so...
at least, based on both you guy's comments, i can just buy an el cheapo giga-nic and not have much to worry about!

thanks for the suggestions, they were all appreciated.

damn, wish i could close this thread now.
