Anything I can do about this HDD?

Well I was using this 250 WD as a external, and since it was in a aluminum it slipped off my desk (not writing data, idle) and well I had a lot of issues with is writing data that was corrupt etc.

I just got done wiping it. So can I do anything with the Reallocated Sectors Count and Current Pending Sector Count?

Hi,

Try using SpeedFan (4.46 or later). In it, you can check the S.M.A.R.T. status (like you've already done), but then it gives you an option to perform an in-depth online analysis. This takes your data and goes to http://www.hddstatus.com/hdrepanalysis.php and compares you to all the readings it's gathered for the same model harddrive. This can give you an idea of how serious any out-of-spec readings might be.

I'm not sure if that helps, but it is an interesting tool nonetheless. You might be able to go directly to that webpage and have it automatically gather the SMART data, but I accessed it through Speedfan.

Good luck,

Nicco
