What to do with "old" SSDs?

Thread Starter
Hi.

I recently upgraded my Desktop, and now I have two spare Vertex 30GB SSDs. Both work wonderfully.

Any suggestions for what I should do with these? My initial thought was to RAID them, but I currently don't have enough SATA ports, nor do I know what I would do with 60GB of spare SSD (most-played games drive? dedicated pagefile?).

My motherboard (ASUS M4A79T Deluxe) has 5 SATA ports:
1 SATA port for my Vertex 2 60GB (boot drive)
2 other SATA ports used by 2 HDDs (2x 320GB)
1 SATA port used for DVD-rom
1 SATA port empty (sort of in-place for e-Sata connection

My laptop already has a 40GB Intel SSD for its boot drive, and a ~250GB HDD.

Thanks for any suggestions.

If in the future you build a system that features ssd caching, you could use those ssd's as cache drives, but you're probably better off selling them as Xiphos said.

I grab a 2.5 in external drive enclose and carry them as externals in my laptop bag.
< 64 GB SSD's make the best external HDD replacement you can get, USB 3.0 enclosures are < $15 now and the nice thing about SSD's, is they don't need all that power, so you can feel safe plugging it in to anything, and because no moving parts, you can just throw it in your bag wherever you go.
