Sleeving using Paracord 550

Thread Starter
I am going to be sleeving my brand new Seasonic Platinum 1000W with Paracord 550.
And was curious what size of heatshrink I should order that works the best with it and also, where is the cheapest place to get it?

Thanks

I've seen both 3/16 and 1/4" tubing used. You can get 4ft lengths of 3:1 shrink for pretty cheap here: http://www.alliedelec.com/search/productdetail.aspx?SKU=70133170

I just used 50' of 3/16" heat shrink that I got from Fry's for $16.99. It can fit over two paracord if you take your time to get it over.

If you want to save some money/time and make it look neater (depending on your skill level and amount of OCD) you could go with heat shrinkless.

Quick guide here.

As far as size I believe the standard is 550. I bought a bunch of my paracord from Ebay. As long as you can get free shipping you are probably going to pay about the same from just about anywhere.
