Well hello all I am here to find out just what the heck I am doing wrong with my 2 580 classified cards.

I have the new EVGA Precision v2.1.2 installed on my system and im using the 1-31-2012 Beta Driver 295.51.

The switches are set to OC and the red lights are on on both cards. When i set voltage with EVGA Precision it looks like it takes but when I run a test with Furmark shows stock voltage which is 1.100 on card one and 1.114 on card two. Cards run stable upto 900 any more and locks up and yes I did do the firmware on both cards.

OS 7pro
Mb Evga P67
Cpu 2700k stock clocks at this time
Ram gskill ripjaws 16 gigs 1600
Psu corsair ax1200
Video cards Evga gtx 580 Classified First run at 855 clocks
Case Antec 1200
Monitors 3 Hanns-g 28
Resolution 6280x1200

Well what it looks like is the voltage on the cards does not change when i set it with EVGA Precision is there a simple way to prove or see the change to make sure it is doing the job?

Nobody uses Furmark for stress testing the 5xx series cards. Get Unigine Heaven 2.5 or 3Dmark11 .

Nope, I havent found this. I managed insane OCs on furmark and OCCT, thinking I had a golden card I appleied the OC and tried folding. Crashed badly within a minute.

580's are designed to throttle on Furmark and OCCT, as outlined here.

I had success stress testing with Unigine Heaven, while watching closely for artifacts. What I found to be stable in Heaven worked well in BF3 and folding

There is also the parameter "/GTX580OCP" for GPU-Z which will disable this throttling until next reboot.

Its setting properly, the problem is that the 580 Classified uses a custom VRM, so the voltage level cannot be read by most applications.

So i need to use my Fluke to see the voltage then?
So what application will show me whats going on with these cards because when I bumped up the voltage i could not get a 925 to run stable at all.

Today yes, we are looking to add the proper voltage reading to OC Scanner though, which means that it will probably read correctly in a future version of Furmark.
