well either way I would upgrade video cards 1st if your on a tight budget at the moment. Of course it would be a good boost in cpu performance if you get Ivy, especially if you do folding which REALLY has my interest!biggrin.gif

well... "PERSONALLY" i never trusted any AMD CPU (no offence to anyone here on OCN smile.gif )
i would so wait to see Ivy's performance/price comparing to the i7 3930k or the i7 3960 or even the i7 2600k and if Ivy is worth it i'd go for it than changing those 6850s which i believe they would suite you well with a badass CPU on their back. good luck with your choice smile.gif

Oh dont get me wrong I will be going IVY regardless. With it not being out I figured might be a good time to upgrade card and save up a little before IVY

Now im trying to decide if a 7970 is worth the extra 100$. can any one chime in that has seen both in action? I dont want to be wishing i had the 7970 if its really the best bet.
