Windows 7 64bit Ultimate freezes on welcome screen

So today, my baby cousin pressed down my power button while I was using the restroom and now my computer won't boot. After I type in my password. it will have the circle swirly thing and suddenly stop. I can boot into safemode, and if I delete my GTX 460 driver, it boots up fine. But if I download the driver again, Windows hangs on the welcome screen. I even tried SFC /scannow. Please help!

Have you tried just using an older driver?

Use autoruns to disable any "extra" startup programs. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902

Run CCleaner. http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner

If that fails then run Memtest86+ to test your RAM. http://www.memtest.org/
