Would there happen to be a better fan than the Zalman CNPS9500?

as according to a site, it was able to achieve from 3.0GHz to 4.0GHz on the Pentium D 930.

maybe i was wondering, that because that fan can do a very good job on cooling, would anyone know if there was a better than from Zalmans itself?

Um, they are not all by zalman, but are all about the same price as the 9500
the thermaltake tower112 is rather good with a high cfm fan as well

There are better. The tuniqie tower, and big typhoon actually outperform it, especially if you upgrade the stock fan to a higher flow one, which the zalman will not allow you to do.

Zalman 9500 is a pretty poor performing cooler, mainly because of its 92mm fan (Big Typhoon, Tuniq Tower 120 and others have 120mm fans) the 92mm fan means the Zalman is not only a worse performer but it is also noisier.

With my Big Typhoon I can get my D930 up to about 4.2GHz totally stable and 4.5GHz benchable.

thus that is why i am asking is there a bettre fan than the Zalman CNPS9500, but one from Zalmans itself.

also, looking at those other cooling methods, they do tend to be very engregy consuming, and electric bill pumping, so i would really stay away from that and i just want really a fan cooler, that is mainly cooper, and plastic tends to comsume more heat than cooper i assume.

in any other case, would that mean that the Zalman CNPS9500 is a very good fan then? especially when you want to overclock a CPU and so on.

It's decent, but you are being really close minded, no offense, but you need to look at other companies besides Zalman. Companies like Thermalright, Thermaltake, Arctic Cooling, and Sunbeam (Tuniq) make excellent products. The Thermalright Ultra 120 (heatsink) + Silverstone FM121 (fan) is probably the best air heatsink/fan combo you can buy right now. Don't rely on one source for your information, look around at other sites that test heatsinks and you will see the Zalman 9500 is not the best at all.

I checked Zalman's site and it doesn't look like there is anything better than the 9500. I have always liked Zalman products, but I would listen to the advice others are giving you, if you want a STABLE overclock, go with something else. It might help to fill out the "system specs" under your User CP so we know what CPU you are trying to overclock. I have a Zalman 9500 that I use on a mildly overclocked AMD X64 3800+ and it works fine for stock or slightly overclocked processors, but that's it. Granted Zalman makes some very nice products, but for overclocked performance listen to what the gurus here are saying.... 120mm fans even with a lower voltage will out perform a 9500, and be quieter.
