Once they crack this thing, so that I can run emulators, etc off it..........then I'll buy it for sure.

I'm getting it day 1 with a pile of japanese games from the PSN (Tales of innocence R ftw) and the 32GB Memory Card, but a gameboy emulator + Links Awakening DX would make this complete!

At 5" you can tell the difference between 220 ppi and 294 ppi(which is a 5 inch at 720p).

With that explanation i have never played the Vita before... if you haven't play it before why judge it ?

Spec on paper means a lot to you ?

Well i guess everyone is different.... however please list one device that have a 5inch OLED MultiTouch screen supporting 720P i would love to find out biggrin.gif

The next generation of smartphones will be even more powerful than them.
This is what I don't understand about the PS Vita. The hardware is pretty good, but for the price they're charging, what do you get? Basically, a souped up smart phone without the ability to make calls or send text messages.
That's a pass in my book. Not worth the money. At least nintendo's DS and 3DS have 2 screens.

I've got a Galaxy SII, and the 3D games are poor to say the least, from a graphical standpoint and from a control standpoint.

Saying that the SII and the Iphone 4s are 'graphic power houses' is a load of nonsense. They're impressively graphically when you consider that it's a phone. But compared to the Vita's graphics, it looks like someones vomitted a PS1 game onto the screen.

Everyone spews out meaningless banter about PPI and resolution.. fact is the Vita looks great on its current resolution/PPI! It doesn't look like a pixely 90s game, its detailed! It's clear! Get over the specs already, they don't mean as much as you think.

Just got my Vita last night, it's a fine piece of hardware. It's not without its imperfections, like a proprietary power cable, and proprietary memory card format, but in terms of gaming power it's like having a PS 2.5 in your hand (far better than a PS2, but not quite as good as a PS3). So far I've only played Uncharted on it, but I like what I see.

Still, honest opinion, there aren't many games for it yet, so if you're the type that wants a large amount of titles then I would wait 6 months or so at least. I would've waited to get mine, but I got it as a b-day gift.

Can't wait to get it today. What sucks though is that I won't be home to use it until 5 or so. And...it's probably going to be sitting at my front door all day....oh god.

I don't know about you guys but i'd rather use every minute of my time on games on a DESKTOP. if i need to kill time at a bus stop a simple game like angry birds will suffice. I just don't see myself playing on my psp when i can play Battlefield 3 and Arkham with my HD 6870.

What i need a consolidation of all of my devices. Right now i am hoping the Vita to be powerful enough so i can replace the tablets. but I doubt that will happen.

Samsung Galaxy Note has a 5.3" 1280x800 Super AMOLED and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has a 4.65" 1280x720 Super AMOLED, both supporting multi-touch.
