Guys, the resolution of this thing is already such that I can barely see pixels if I try, that should be the least of anyone's worries with this device. I own the device (got it as a gift), and love it, my only complaint is lack of titles. If this system comes out with some good titles, then it's golden IMO

People just like talking about specs nowadays without even see the devices in real life. Stop comparing the specs between this and that when in fact the OLED screen of the Vita is good, and i bet you won't be able to complain when you see it on your hands.

What are the retail price on those again ?

And what exactly is the benifit of having a 720 screen on a 5 inch ? beside increasing the file size...... what good does it do to a 5 incher ?

Which one of those devices do you owned Forsakenfire ?

Increased resolution also decreases framerate, or requires a most expensive and/or energy consuming GPU.

Having used the Vita, the resolution is great, not even an issue. The PSP screen was great (for its time), and the Vita has 4 times the pixels as the PSP with only a 0.7" larger screen.

Aside from resolution the screen is much more responsive so ghosting is barely noticeable now.

Well yes i know that biggrin.gif i have 2 Vitas here, and i also understand how it works.

However i was talking to Forsakenfire about the framerate since he was the one that complain about the Vita.

All I can think of when Im reading this thread is:

"Yeah well my dad could beat up your dad..."

Grow up, its a game system, if its not for you thats cool, what are you doing in this thread in the first place?
Its not like anyone's opinion is gonna change anybody elses opinion, this is the internet...when your wrong,
your wrong, and when your right, your just as wrong.

Got my Vita preordered, glad to see great reviews, cant wait to play Dynasty warriors.

I don't recall saying that those cell phones I posted would be better for gaming then the Vita, I'm saying that the resolution is a below what I thought a brand new gaming device that claims "PS3 quality graphics". When asked if any devices even support a OLED 720p screen, I brought up two. The retail prices don't really equal what it costs to make one. As for being able to see the difference, I can see the difference between my friends Vita and my SGN(although my SGN is .35 inches smaller).

Damn. I was gonna drop the cash on a 3DS soon but this is making think twice. I thought the PSP was underrated at first and I enjoyed mine quite a bit. I fear though I'd do what I did with my Wii and buy games from earlier systems and only play those. I have a craving to play older PSX games and I don't feel like dropping cash on a PS3. I already have a Wii and 360 that I seldom use anymore.
