Not sure if anyone's mentioned it yet, but what are your settings in catalyst for gaming and performance?

I did not tweak anything. And also i always fall under 60fps even when running everything on medium......it just doesn't add up! I will keep tweaking and get back to you guys.

I'll ask again ... since you still haven't answered that I can see / find anywhere ... and until we KNOW this, really everything else is a moot suggestion at best ... so again ...

1080p, 800/1250/1536

I suggest putting Textures to high and shadows to medium. Those are both settings that you won't notice at all while playing but will give you a significant fps boost.
60 FPS 1080P with occasional Frame drops on caspian 64 player etc.

textures ultra
others high (shadows etc all high)
AA off completely.
Field of view high
ambient occ on
anistropic 16x

6950 2GB @ 960/1300 with unlocked shaders.

AA is designed for low resolutions, at 1080p you wont notice any difference if it's over 4x, and the difference between 2x and 4x isn't even that noticeable.

I don't know what you guys did but i am not getting the same results as you are. Having my settings on high, shadows on low, effects on low, Ambient occlusion on medium, MSAA off and Atroscopic filter at 2x, i still get nasty drops. 40Fps. I guess i would need to spend more money for a better gpu.

Or just overclock high.

Is it a 2GB card and does that evn make a difference? I don't think it does.

When i get the occasional drop it'll go down to about 45-50 and only happens in intense battles when I'm in a tank for some reason.

It suits me fine as i'm bored with tanks. I'm a sniper 99% time so I'm sitting on 60 FPS 99% of the time. lol

OC it please for the love of.......

did you just buy your PC for gaming? if so it's not really the 6950 failing it's your expectations. probably from being told false information.

Like people that come in saying they can max BF3 1080p with a 6850, and run it 'smoothly' lol
