After purchasing, I changed my mind (the next morning), but the 1250w already shipped. Than I decided, getting either one would be great, so its a win no matter which one I get.

On a side note, I ordered the ASUS x79 deluxe and 3930k last night! I was so close to getting the RIVE, but liked the features of the deluxe better. But I weant through the same deciding process... I want to RIVE, no wait the WS, no wait, the Deluxe... I don't remember having so many options when I built my last few systems.

I think getting the 1250w was the right choice. I'm not sure if noise is an issue for you, but the lower percentage you are using of the power supply the quieter it will be. Though, I don't know if I would suggest using the Hybrid mode. I feel like the fan turning on every minute or so while not gaming would wear on the fan pretty badly.

I'm sorry you missed out on the 15% off and free shipping from Newegg that was offered last week. Or did you?

Yeah I missed it... I saw it when researching the Seasonic PSUs. Thanks for the info, I will try the hybrid mode for sure.

Ipicked up the Platinum, it will last in one rig or another for a long time, but as you guys say, you really can't go wrong with any of these top of the line choices.
