Might be a good idea for the OP to sell both 580s for $700 and tuck that away for Kepler. Now is your best chance to sell the video cards while they are still worth something.
The guy that sold you the system probably knows Kepler is just around the corner, and he wanted an Ivy Bridge set up...so might as well sell the whole thing.

sell for kepler? why lol...

why do people insist on getting these new cards soo fast? Current gen cards work just fine and will for the near future gtx580 sli is BEAST and will be well into 2013. I mean what games are gonna push 2 580's in the near future?

i suggest you kick back, crank the options up and enjoy silky smooth gameplay.

I actually bought mine (For the test PC) both from here for 325 and 300$ + shipping, respectively.

It's not that hard to find non 3gb 580's for 300$ here...Honestly...If you haven't, then I'd say you haven't tried.

It's still a good deal, I mean he saved a hundred bucks and shipping...But, it's far beyond the spectacle of anything amazing.

Sorry to be the realist...And I'm not trying to crush OP's hopes but, Nvidia samples went out last week...So, the GPU market is about to crash in the next few weeks...Expect them to go lower.

Thread Starter
So I tried overclocking my cpu to 4.5ghz. Everything seems stable enough until two random things happened.

1st- Everytime I type a letter it doubles it. For example "I type a it would show aa"
2nd- My mouse Everytime I move left and right it would like teleport into these defferent sections on the screen.

My thoughts would be that mobo can be overheating? Im not sure but for now I went back to a regular settings for bios. Even with an extreme profile at 1600mhz it would have occasional reset bios due to voltage problems or something like that. Anyone have any thoughts? Can a cpu get worse from wrong overclocking from previous owners? Stock settings is stable..

note- cpu temps never go beyond 50 even with prime 95 running

KILLER DEAL, anyone that said otherwise was jealous, envied your gain, or simply was out of touch with the COST to build that right now.

My bro - JUST 24 hours ago threw together a 2700k rig.

1500$

2700k, 16gb ram, 1tb drive, GTX 470, blu ray drive, power supply, chaser case.

I would give up my 700$ laptop and i7 930 haf x rig for what you got!

* sorry for resurrecting this thread ~ but I HAD to reply after reading the initial - poopoo comments.

AMAZING DEAL. The best deals are from people whom are in the tech industry or just love upgrading and stocking up goodies.

I got my Toshiba Canvio for 60% off a tech guy in silicon valley ( brand new )

When I head back for family visits I always check craigslist for unbeatable deals.

I'm going to smoke a cig and shake my damned head - at the most heinous omg you said what - comments on page 1.

I wish I could get a rig for that price in Denmark.

I'd probably have to pay around 2000$-2300$ for a rig like that.

And that's if it is a used rig.
