Hi all,

Finally looking to build my long awaited rig, now that its tax season biggrin.gif but im stumped on a case.
My choices are between the 600t, 650D and FT02B-W.
I really like the looks of the two corsair cases and i like the airflow of the silverstone.
What case would you guys buy and why?

P.S. I will be air cooling.

Thanks everyone!!

I would go with the FT02. i like it so much because i have a peace of mind that air flow is going to be superb no matter how I orient it. In addition, you dont have to deal with alot of fan placement. I remember I had the 650d and i couldn't figure out how I wanted to place the fans and i could say the same for the 600t.

I give the Go to the FT02, and buy it off Tigerdirect for free shipping and also $10 bucks cheaper than other places. A pro is also that the FT02 is not as wide as the 650 and the 600. The 650 was about an inch bigger and it just was too bulky for my taste. I like the tight but enough room like the FT02. Also you can mount 120mm fans on the bottom of the FT02 if you wanted to, there are hidden brackets that people dont usually see. smile.gif

However, I do complain that the FT02 is heavy. Since it is constructed out of steel and some plastic. It is one heavy machine compared to my old 650d. smile.gif I hope this helps with your decision making and good luck!

P.S. My intention was to buy this case for air cooling too and its perfect.

I personally have a 650D and my bro has the 600T but I would go with the FT02B-W for pure air cooling. It looks like a nice sleeper case and looks simple and solid. The 650D is a little bit big, I like it though the stock fans are okay, not that great. You could however change it out for something else. But in the end I would go for what you want it to look, because you're the one going to be looking at it everyday tongue.gif . Both the 650D and the 600T has a good build, lots of space to do whatever and you can also do 2rad/thin water cooling in the future. The FT02B-W has better fans, moves a lot of air though you do have to get used to the upside down orientation where the cords come out from the top etc... I think it would be a matter of preference as all 3 are nice choices. I can't really think much of any cons for the 650D/600T and I do like the FT02B-W design so yeah lol. biggrin.gif

I'd take the Silverstone. I have its brother the Raven RV02 and its cooling makes my pants get tighter.

Are the 600t and 650D more geared towards watercooling than air? Do they cool alright on air?

In my opinion the 600T is the best looking case available these days. That was the main reason I bought one. If ultimate air cooling is your main concern, however, I'd suggest the Silverstone as my 600T is definitely not the best ventilated case. The looks make up for it in my case though...

D series=WC
600T=Can be air, WC is better
Silverstone=Air, WC is possible but not ideal.

My 650D is awesome (i'm watercooled). You are gonna be air cooling & like everyone else has noted.. its not the best case for air cooling. Its not bad tho, just replace the fans.

IMO the 650D is the best looking case if you wanna go with an enthusiast/conservative look. Doesn't look blingy, but you know its build of quality & has killer componants inside tongue.gif

Good luck thumb.gif

Then I'd suggest the 600T. It was the case I was going to get before I got my Silverstone (Can't say I made a bad choice though <3). The D series has the best looks of almost any case I've seen the but almost complete inability to air cool without buying extra parts is a turn off. The 600T is the swing case, it can do both, and if you get the mesh side panel (stock with White edition) you can mount 4x120mms on there for some very nice extra cooling. thumb.gif
