Upgrades, Need help with a GPU

Thread Starter
Hello, I just recently bought this motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131636) for the Dual x16 and the am3 socket.
I have this Video card currently (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121390)
This is my cpu (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103846)

Would I be better off to Get another 460 and try to sli or should I upgrade to a 550 ti (example).
Depending If I can unlock this cpu will determine if I upgrade the cpu as well.

What would give me the best performance.

550 ti is a joke, either another gtx 460 or sell current and get a GTX 560 ti 446 core IMO.

Sorry for double post can't figure out how to edit on this mobile app. Anyway re-read your post, I would keep your single GTX 460 and upg your CPU to a 4 or 6 core phantom and you should see a pretty good performance boost, even more if you overclock new CPU

I would overclock the CPU and get a CPU cooler for it also and get another GTX 460 if you can find one for a good price.

Okay, so Which would give me better performance, The Two sli gtx 460's or one 560 ti?

And If I where to get a 560 ti, could I use the 460 I have as a physx card in the other slot?

That all depends, Think I could find a gtx 460 for around $70 dollars? I wouldn't pay over $100 for a used 460

560ti 446 core would be slightly less performance but upgrade able later and yes you could still use the gtx 460 if you had the PSU headroom

Last question, I know to stick with the same card within SLI, however there was the 768mb version and a 1gb version of the card.. Does it have to be a 768mb or can it be a 1gb?

No they can't they use a different memory bit amount so they can't run together.
