A few of you know what a flip-flopper I am with builds. I guess that's how I am, hehe. This should be a straight forward bolt-on with very little modding. Nothing crazy in terms of hacking. Only one mod was done to the case to to add a second fill-port (first owner had a hole done already).

A big shout-out and hearty thanks to all the ocn members that I purchased their great stuff from and those who have bought my stuff (to fund this thing). Without these fine fellows, I would not have gotten to this stage without selling the house tongue.gif. Thanks mates thumb.gif

I don't have a time line to finish. That has not worked for me in the past rolleyes.gif. It will be done, hopefully soon, or some time in the future. I'm planning a little party for my baby (turning 3 smile.gif ) this weekend, so updates will be slow for now.

Thanks for looking smile.gif

Update: 3/23 - Decided to sell my SB setup and go SB-E and throw in a 4th GTX 480. New pics will come shortly.

Rads are all fitted with custom hex socket screws from mcmastercarr.com:

^^^ Rear 360 and front 480 mounted. In push/pull config, there very limited space. Good thing I'm using small diameter tube smile.gif

-After burning the midnight oil, lots of elbow grease, and some Brasso, the blocks came out pretty nice. Sadly, i ordered the wrong D-plugs (they're up for sale now). I made the mistake of not taking into account the threads. The ones I bought are 10mm short (I miss understood the listing, thought it was 25mm without the threads). No biggie as I have yet to receive my new mb and block. Got lots of time to do wire management as I have to route 20 R4s and 4 80mm fans. Its crowded now but I still have a little wiggle room.

(Ek backplates, expensive but worth it, went on with a little thought and using the DD block screws as well as the EK backplate mounting hardware)

Fillports: I started this a few days ago, I was lucky that I didn't crack the acrylic top piece since its fragile when using power-tools. Why two fillports with one loop? Well, with fill ports, I've always seen them work very slow. Why? air has no quick route to exit. Solution: two fill ports, one to add liquid while the other to vent air. The inlet connects to the discharge port on the res (fillport is top, inlet of flow is on the side, same opening). I'm a little concern of how the liquid will flow down the fillport when the pump is running but there's only one way to find out. Other then that, I can always stop the pump since its hooked up to my fan controller.

^^^ Its dusty looking since the black acrylic attracts it like crazy (and fingerprints too tongue.gif )

More progress. Tackled most of the cable management and made sure all things are firing up, especially the fans:

Its been a hectic 24hrs trying to sort out the mb and the loop. Sadly, the tube size 3/8x1/2 can't bend fluid enough to avoid kinks and connect the cpu to the mb blocks. I have some 90°s pending from ppcs.com

Cpu block came in along with the new retention plating and mounting screws:

Update: 3/28: Got the cpu and the gpu (all four now biggrin.gif ) plumbed and leak testing. I will fire her up soon to test my new cpu, mb, and 4th gpu card. I'm waiting on the FSP Booster X5 so the case is not fully detailed/finalized yet. The booster goes into a slot drive which forced me to remove my dvd drive (converting it to external usb 3.0). To get access, I had to remove the top panel. The Booster will supplement the fourth card as I doubt my psu will handle all four and SB-E.

Thanks guys. I have an eta for the MIVE today, the 480s arrive tomorrow, the SR1 arrives on Friday along with the MIVE block. For this build log, I've decided to put it together first, break it down, then take pics of the build as I'm putting it back together. This will make sure that the actual, intended path is chronicled and I don't fill this log with dead ends or drama from b.s. that occurs.

Motherboard was defective and I picked a new one from the ocn market. New mobo block (HK) ordered, getting refund on first board, new one should arrive sometime next week, and MIVE block up for sale. Pretty typical set backs in my large builds tbh. I'll have pics of the rads and fans soon.
