About time you update your rig dude, how long have you been running that old PC? Two or three weeks? Man you are so out of date. biggrin.gif

Huh? Don't those just turn the fans off and on? No juice adjustments?

The Fan_Atic has three modes: off, 7v, & 12v.

O'RLY! Dang I just assumed those military switch styles were just for off and on. So you had the fans of each rad channeled into one switch right?

Sorry I'm new to the whole 30W - 60W per channel thing or rather fan controllers in general. Trying to figure if I can have 4 - 8 140mm fans per switch depending on which fan controller I go with.

Find your fans specs. Look for amperage, multiply by 12 (volts) and it should give you watts consumed. Just make sure you don't max out each channel. For example: my R4s are rated at 0.35amps, x 12 (volts) = ~4.2watts. Since each channel on the Lamptron supports up to 60 watts, I can daisy chain up to 14 fans per channel, or 70 total fans using all five channels eek.gif. The Lamptron is basic but it works and its an original Lamptron, not a knockoff G-Vans rolleyes.gif. Right now its running on 7v and its pretty quiet. Same level as the pump. I can drop the R4s even lower to the point where the pump is the noisiest thing.

My new gpu setup actually consumes less power and gives off less heat. Not sure if I should keep the Silverstone 1500w and three SR1 rads confused.gif. I could use the extra cash for the three ips monitors I'm looking to get. Ok, time to break down my loop and prep the 480s for shipment to its new owner.

Well, I got a reply from Nzxt but it was an automated message saying I have not replied in the last 48hrs so they were closing my ticket. Wth?!??!?!?! I've been checking the ticket daily and no nzxt rep has touched it or left/updated any messages. I emailed Nzxt support for the fourth time rolleyes.gif. What a pita. I should just go ahead and contact ppcs.com

Huh? You sold your 480's and are thinking of getting rid of your SR-1's and PSU? Completely new build? Make sure to link new thread if you do wheee.gif

Quad is still in the equation but these gpu consume a lot less power and don't dump as much heat as the 480s. Ultimately, the primary reason for these new gpu was the higher vram count for Surround. If I end up going with a new case, this log will be closed. Or, I just might keep a couple of the rads and sell one of them since I don't really see a need for this much cooling power with the new gpu(s). Pics will be up as soon as the new gpus arrive.

Hmmm... that just leaves a handful of Nvidia GPU's that you could have chosen. Is it possible??? eek.gif You're back to 3GB 580's? wheee.gif

I wish biggrin.gif, sadly no frown.gif. These are special cards that I acquired outside through a buddy of mine. I'll give details when they arrive. First priority is to find blocks for these new suckers and I have a limited selection unless I go uni block frown.gif. I email WaterCool for a special request if I end up going with their fullcover blocks smile.gif

Yes, its a great case but I'm contemplating switching to a different case since I really won't need a ton of cooling power with my new gpu(s).
