What mods? I noticed you at least have the non-root CircleMod... I've noticed these types of mods can have unintended issues when changing Android versions.

I dug around a bit and found out that there are a few apps messing with 4.2, that does not appear to be one of them.. and its not circlemod.. its just a battery widget i found (i know it looks like it.. and yes i kinda wanna go install Cyanogenmod at some point, Thinking i might do that on my Tablet first because i feel it will benefit from any performance boost it can get)

FYI, Weather Channel and Open Signal Maps appear to be what was causing my issues (I also thought it strange my GPS was staying on practically constantly, i checked around and found those two apps were likely to be whats misbehaving... Everything seems fine now, fingers crossed, People also noted Shazaam was causing problems, Basically those apps are running haywire in the background accessing stuff they shouldnt and thus causing problems right left and center.. if i continue having problems i will likely just go and dump my phone off completely and be a little careful about what i install OR go install and give Cyanogenmod a try..

Yeah, there are always those issues when upgrading. It does not pay to be an immediate adopter when it comes to Android. Shazaam has been causing me problems since 4.0.4 and I can't figure out why... When it comes to major Android updates, you need to make sure to watch what apps you have installed. It's kind of why I prefer updating manually using custom ROMs as it encourages me to wipe and start out fresh. Makes things very easy when it comes to troubleshooting.

I'm going to probubly do that with my next phone, whatever it is

Anyways I will say one great thing about 4.2, My HSPA+ speeds have jumped, Running speedtest im averaging 7.5mbps now whereas 5mbps was my average before... Funny coincidence or 4.2 improving something i dont know, but i am not complaining

That said, Speedtest also thinks im in Indiana, so im using a server that..is not that local... lol

In.. Verizon Nexus. Major upgrade from an old Droid 2 Global.

Still learning the Root/Unlock stuff. And currently looking for clean, well maintained, and easy to use custom Roms.

Really like the look of Pings post on the first page. When I get more comfortable with how exactly to load custom roms this will be the first one I try.

EDIT: Was not aware until after I posted that this thread was last updated November of 2012.. *shrug*
