Who knows. We need to see some Betas. Have you tried the developers preview version?

Ive tried it, seems to look nice if it was my phone.

If it was me, I would wait for Windows 8.

Once I had a computer good enough for Vista, I never had any issues with it (and SP1 made it even better).

Windows 8 will just be an improvement on Windows 7 (which is an improvement on Vista).

At least wait till the Windows 8 Beta Consumer Preview comes out at the end of the month and see what it will really be like.

No. It isn't. Vista, while not as refined, had better performance in games and felt more solid then 7 or XP.

When I had vista I liked it, never had a problem with it.

Then, the windows 7 beta, fell in love it with it, was a big upgrade.

Then the windows 7 RC, loved it, didn't like it as much as the beta, but still loved it.

Then windows 7 pro, loved it.

Windows 8 beta, can't stand using it, feels like 7 with bloatware.

Why haven't you upgraded? Vista is a obese child while Windows 7 is a supermodel.

Windows 8 isn't for desktop users so you can ignore that.

I had Vista for only 5-6 months before Windows 7 was released and couldn't justify spending the money to upgrade my Operating System when I had just finished building my computer. Not I built this one and it is close to Windows 8 so I am on the fence, I will prolly wait and try the beta before committing.

Windows 8 is upgrading tons of Windows's infrastructure, NOT just the UI. It's going to see performance boosts across the board. Deal with it.

So many critics regarding Windows Vista, I do not know why. I had it installed on two laptops, (Business & Ultimate SP2 64 bit), I never had any problem with it.
I would put it back on one of my laptops, but I have not the original CD, the key it is on the back of laptop. I tried a few Vista OS but none worked with the key....this was the reason I installed Win_7 on it.
I heard that support for Windows 7 OS will stop in 2015, it might be because of Windows 8,9,10…….

Thats because it is the in thing to hate on Vista.
Aside from the fact MS way understated the minimum requirements for it (MS recommended requirements should have been the minimum), if you had a good enough system, Vista ran fine, and SP1 made it even better.
Windows 7 would not be what it is without Vista (basically Windows 7 is Vista with SP3).

Mainstream support for Windows 7 will end 1/13/2015, but extended support does not end till 1/14/2020. Link
