The reason the price is so low right now is because Samsung and Micron in an effort to try to push each other out of the memory market over produced and undercut each others chip prices to a point that the 3rd party assemblers were practically getting their assembler parts at or below cost. Now that they have crashed the market price it appears that at least micron is attempting to cut availability to try to restore prices to a previous level. The question will be will Samsung play along or keep making the ram chips as if they are free.
