advice on ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z Gen3

Thread Starter
in advance I appreciate any feed back.

My next upgrade is going to be the ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z Gen3 with a Intel Core i7 2700K..

I would like some feedback as to what cooling people are using with this board & with what ram.. I also wish to know some advice on fan control units, which is the preffered unit

I was thinking of keeping the board I am using now rampage II gene & over clock it, but am unable to find any good guides, templates or batch files to help me do this.

I have just run a quick stress test with real temp & prime using the blend function. the temps are all over the place
355

I am really stumped as to which way to go & its driving me insane doh.gif

any input is greatly appreciated

For a fan controller, I have this one and have been very please with it. It does exactly what I need and has had no problems at all.

Here is another model like the one I have, but can use more fans:

thanks for your reply.
I very much like the look of the KM04-BK Kaze Master Pro Ace

enough fan controls to keep me happy. This may be the one I shall get.

My main task is now to get my cpu temps under control. Running real temp & prime, they went through the roof.
So its back to the drawing board & research some cpu collers.

Thanks again
