Optimizations to Maximize 128GB Crucial M4 - Page 2

lol, they don't get hot and don't have moving parts. You can do whatever you can think of with them and they will be pretty much fine.

This is what I did with mine.

There should be plenty of 2.5 to 3.5 adapter brackets around on ebay!

I bought a Corsair one for £3.20 total , and I know of similar simple adapters made by Kingston and OCZ!

The green plastic rails came with the case by the way ...

but you can pretty much put them anywhere as others have said!

Got the SSD in and Windows Loaded and made my wife go through Seans Optimization guide, cus i swear Im too dumb to do it these days lol - just too much on my mind to learn anything new.

Problem: Suddenly my Motherboard is only showing 4 out of 6GB of ram, and ocne showing only 2GB of Ram!!

This issue is driving me up the wall because I have reseated the ram and moved them around a bit =(

I have heard that the issue may be from my Noctua Coole, either being too tight, Loose or ineven, or that its weight is forcing pins to not make contact!?

Thats just crazy talk lol, been runnign this system flawlessly for 2 years!

however, I did get SWTOR Running, the SSD Helps alot with Loading times between zones, and I certainly see a difference in the Stutter you get when loading into a new zone, especially highly populated areas like the Fleet etc.

But Im certain that this difference is mostly due to my Old Drives being sata1 and 5 years old, with one of them have been used for 3 years prior to install and Raid 0. So one drive has been driven for quite a bit longer than the other.

i think though that people with more modern HDD's and Current CPU's and fast ram probobly wont see that sort of an upgrade that I saw to be honest. Im not running my CPU and Ram at stock settings trying to figure out this Ram issue, game running smooth though considering loss of speed and a whole 2GB and loss of Tri Channel lol
