Cooling a 1090T

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while, but it's that time of year again, and I need to upgrade!

I'm going with cooling this time around!

I've asked about this but that was more than a year ago!

What is today's best AIR cooling solution?

Silence is what's most important to me, as this stock AMD is horrible when it comes to quiet.

I have the following gear:

CASE: NZXT Tempest EVO (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811146062)

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103849)

MB: GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128443)

RAM: G.SKILL PI 4GB (2 x 2GB) (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=20-231-351)

And this is mostly what I have available to me:

Please suggest the best cooler that will fit my case, mb, and ram and silence needs! smile.gif

Thanks in advance!

Hyper 212+ if you're on a budget, it might not be the quietest CPU Cooler around there but it's still 50x quieter than 5k RPM AMD stock.
Too bad the NH-D14 wouldn't fit in your case, so if you want to spend the 2x of the 212+ go for the Noctua NH-C14.

Right now I'm looking at both, and while Im no crazy about the price of the Noctua, it does fit my budget and if it is MUCH superior I could see going with it.

However, can anybody tell me how much of a difference there is between the respective fans noise level? What's the quality of the fans that come with them etc.?

The Hyper 212+ is here! Getting ready to install tonight!

No idea what I'm doing (first time replacing a stock cooler)!

Any tips/guide/tutorials etc.? smile.gif

Also, how come nobody mentioned the Hyper 212 EVO, I just found out (of course now that I have this one sitting in front of me, not before I bought it) that the EVO cools a tad better? xD
