try higher vcore, do you have LLC(load line calibration) on? you have to set it to like ultra High.

Error 124 is an indication of insufficient voltage (usually VCore)... Also, it would help even more if can show us the BIOS settings you are using.

I have the same rig as yours and I have made 4.7 stable, no sweat.

I'm running prime95 as I write @4.6ghz for 24/7 at (much) lower voltage.

I can make a thread about my OC with pics, complete specs and all in a day or 2, if you want.

Gosh its too early to be talking about OC.

ok anyways...

I have LLC(load line calibration) I had it set to high, not ultra high, as per another guide.

Also I cannot turn speed stepping off, I found 2 options to turn if off, but the its still doing its crap when im on desktop, its odd when I had this oc to 4.4 speed stepping worked when turned off, also I recently updated to the new bios, 9xx something, maybe that did it

Also I noticed the other dude, alex was using higher memory, is my 1600mhz ones fine? they arent bottleneecking are they?

I have LLC(load line calibration) I had it set to high, not ultra high, as per another guide.

encrypter, just to rule out RAMs being your overclocking problem, try to stay at or under RAMs stock speed if possible and Memtest them beforehand.

It will bottleneck if your CPU is able to go higher freq than your RAMs can stably.
