When running in VGA mode I am not sure that windows load AERO or whatever it's called, plus your resolution would be 800x600 in VGA mode I believe. This does not really make the card work at all which could be keeping it cool.
Have you modified the heatsink on the card at all, put on an aftermarket one, maybe the TIM was not properly applied or the heatsink may not be seated on the GPU?
Just ideas to try to help out.
Thanks for the answer dude
1. The card is not overclocked, its at stock actually its my friend pc.
2. I (my friend) did not modifed the heatsink, but when i cheked GPU temps in GPU-Z it was around 50c idle (with fan at 25% card is not cleaned from dust so its quite normal)
EDIT: The card show same symptoms on 3 different pc's with different CCC versions as well. Will try Atiman uninstaller as last option i think the card is damaged.
EDIT:2 Thanks Ken as well!
EDIT:3 Catalyst 12.1 Makes the display driver has stopped working error on my pc wonder if he will got the same problem...Edited by psyside - 2/14/12 at 12:15pm
