Silver Arrow full-on, doesn't down-speed

Thread Starter
I just installed a SA (from a Hyper 212+) and everything went great, yesterday the PC was fine and actually quieter than with the CM.

Speedstep is enabled and the CPU is correctly scaled down to 1.6Ghz. In the BIOS my target temperature is set to 45C and fan is set to level 5. Current temp is about 34C at 1.6Ghz, and the SA is still powering away...

However today the fans simply won't turn down; they're at 1,150RPM right now and aren't lowering, except when I'm in the UEFI. Any ideas..? The noise is getting annoying frown.gif

Thanks!

Might sound like a stupid question, but are you sure the fans are in the right headers?

It's a good question in fact, and yes; I used the Y cable provided by Thermalright and plugged it into the CPU_header1 (4 pins).

checked bios settings? try to load default settings and set everything again manually.
